Kenny Ollis, Age 87, of Somerville, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Fort Hamilton Hospital with his wife and children at his side. He was born August 30, 1925 in Brushy Creek, North Carolina the son of the late Kelsey and Essie (McGee) Ollis. He married Mamie Bowman on November 30, 1944 in Spartanburg, SC. He was employed 30 years by Fisher Body as a machine repairman, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Benjamin Franklin Lodge # 719 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati, Syrian Shrine and Hamilton Shrine Club. He was preceded in death by his 2 infant children (Wanda Fay Ollis & Carol Ann Ollis). He is survived by his wife, Mamie Ollis; seven children, Kenneth (Stephanie) Ollis, Columbus, Indiana, Lana (Gale) Lindsey, Hamilton, John (Debbie) Ollis, Indianapolis, Indiana, Donna (David) Circle, Somerville, Thomas (Susan) Ollis, St. Clair Township, Jerry Ollis, Monroe, Melissa Mills, Cincinnati; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Ollis of Newland, North Carolina and a sister, Ann Ollis, Middletown. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Rev. Edwin Beck officiating. Burial will be in Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 noon until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Haven House Emergency Shelter, 550 High Street, Hamilton, Ohio.
