Dawn Renee Browning, age 50, of Hamilton died Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Cincinnati on January 20, 1963, the daughter of Donald E. and Jewel (Steele) Carpenter. She received her master’s degree in nursing. She was employed as a psychiatric nurse supervisor for U C Health and had been nursing for over 30 years. Her life was centered around helping people at work and outside of work. Her smile brightened the room and she never knew a stranger. She married Barry Browning on April 20, 1991 in Fairfield. She is survived by her husband, Barry; two sons, Aaron A. Browning and Drew B. L. (Lesli) Browning, all of Hamilton; brother Donald E. (Stacy) Carpenter, Jr. of Fairfield; sister, Lisa (Jim) Baker of Hamilton and granddaughter, Mya Danielle Browning. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother-in-law, Barbara Bogan, sister-in-law, Becky Lawson, brother-in-law, Doug (Julie) Browning, several nieces and nephews, Tanya, Donald, Keith, Missy, Grant, Caitlynn and Jake and several loved special sisters, Jerri, Rena, Teresa, Della, Linda and Ladonna. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dianne Wooly in 1999 and nephews Jordan Pendang and Jimmy Lawson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Rev. Johnny Wade Sloan officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, February 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
