Age 55, of Hamilton, died Friday, February 22, 2013 in the emergency room at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton on March 25, 1957, the son of William and Harriett (Baker) Hamblin. He was a 1975 graduate of Garfield High School and married JoLynn Baker on April 17, 1975 in Hamilton. He was employed with Champion Papers for 26 years and for Miami University for six years. He is survived by his wife, JoLynn; three sons, Douglas Scott (Jeffrey) Hamblin, Orlando, Florida; Dustin W. (Cynthia) Hamblin, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Shawn M. (Jessica) Hamblin, Hamilton; four brothers, Jim (Kathy) Hamblin, Carl (Rhonda) Hamblin, Ike (Joyce) Hamblin all of Hamilton and Rick Hamblin, Orlando, Florida; three sisters, Carol (Ray) Kuykendall, Barb (Willie) Kilburn and Tammy (Richard) Estep all of Hamilton; grandchildren, Joseph, Tyler, Erica, Regan, Landon and Delaney and a great granddaughter, Lilly. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Joe Baker, Orlando; sister-in-law, Fay Hamblin, Hamilton; brother-in-law, Bill Smith, Kentucky and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Larry J. Hamblin and sister, Carlie Mae Smith. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, February 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
