Dr. Randolph passed away on January 4, 2010 in his home after a long illness. Born November 15, 1920 in Sutton, WV son of the late Mary Juergens Randolph and Brady F. Randolph, Sr. Survived by wife Rhonda; sisters Ruth Atkins, Sutton, WV, Wilma (Larry) Lyon, Madison, WV; brother-in-law Michael (Linda Travis) Thompson, Cincinnati; son Christopher (Mary) Randolph, Akron, Ohio, daughters Barbara (Wayne) Morgan, Nashville, NC, Kristi Randolph, Miamisburg, Ohio; daughter-in-law Peggy Randolph, Athens, GA; grandchildren Kelly (Brian) Gruen, Sean (Ashley) Hosey, Maj. USAF, Michelle Hosey, Geoffrey Randolph, Chelsea Randolph, Erin (John) Bowman, Robert Quinlan, Kyle Quinlan; great-grandchildren Evan, Elizabeth, Madeline, David, Kaylen. Proceeded by in death by son Dr. David Randolph, sisters and brother-in-laws Mary Ellen (Robert) Shank, Alma Jean (Gene) Whitzel, Frank Atkins. He was educated in Sutton schools graduating in 1938 as Valedictorian of his class. He received an AB and BS from WVU and an MD from Northwestern University, Chicago with his internship at Wesley Memorial Hospital, Chicago and Orthopaedic Surgeon Residency at Case-Western University, Cleveland, Ohio. Brady practiced as a family physician in Morgantown, WV for 8 years retiring then to accept his Orthopedic Residency in 1955. He entered Orthopaedic Practice in Hamilton in 1958 with Charles Hauser, MD and Russell Alsfelder, MD. He retired from private practice in 1990 and accepted an appointment as Associate Professor Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, retiring as Emeritus Professor in 1998. Brady was a leader: Community service: President Board of Christian Education Immanuel Lutheran Church School, council and lay reader at Immanuel Lutheran Church, President Hamilton Rotary Club, Chairman Hamilton Safety Council, President Board of Directors Westover Retirement Community, President Board of Directors Butler County Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases Association, Board of Directors Cerebral Palsy Association, Butler County Zoning Board of Appeals, Monitor of "Call the Doctor" on WMOH radio, United Way, Red Cross, Second National Bank (US Bank), Hamilton Community Foundation Scholarship, Board of Directors AAA; Medicine: American Academy Orthopedic Surgeons, Clinical Orthopaedic Society, Tri-State Orthopaedic Society, Ohio State Medical Society, Ohio Orthopaedic Society, President Butler County Medical Society, Hamilton-Fairfield Medical Society, Chief-of-Staff  Mercy Hospital Hamilton, Building Committee Mercy Hospital Fairfield and was its' first Chief-of-Staff, Chairman Combined Committee Sports Medicine Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Ohio State Medical Society. Brady was an adventurer-loving sport cars, motorcycles, flying his airplane, drum major WVU Marching Band and member of WVU Alumni Band (last performing on Mountaineer Field at age 83). Military Service: WWII and Korean Conflict, WVU ROTC Infantry, 2nd Lt. — Medical Administrative Corp, Pfc. — Army Specialized Training Corp, Captain — US Medical Corp. Recognitions: Boy Scouts of America Citation for Outstanding Care of Crippled Children, Citation Ohio State Medical Society to Sports Medicine, Kentucky Colonel, West Virginia Governor's Citation Distinguished West Virginian. Memorial Service at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday January 9, 2010 at 2 pm with Pastor Kevin Jud officiating. Visitation 4-8 pm Friday January 8, 2010 at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1285 Main Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Internment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, London, Ky. at the convenience of family.
