Christopher Cox

Age 41, of Cincinnati, Ohio died at his home on January 29, 2025. Chris was most recently a computed tomography (CT) technologist at Bethesda North Hospital. His many years of professional radiology experience brought him home to the Cincinnati area in late 2023, after working in hospitals and medical centers in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, South Dakota, New Mexico, and Georgia. An especially notable experience was Chris’ work at Northside Hospital and the long hours he dedicated to serving patients in Atlanta in the height of the COVID pandemic. Chris graduated from Mt. Healthy High School in 2001 and worked his way through an associate degree at Northern Essex Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University as a nurse assistant. Chris was a Life Rank Boy Scout of Troop 27 of Mt. Healthy and Assistant Scout Master of Troop 263 of Windham, New Hampshire, with highlight experiences at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and winter camping in New Hampshire. Chris was unable to complete his studies in archaeology but expressed his passion for ancient cultures through a love of Celtic and Norse mythology and music and his 2010 trip through Ireland. Chris took many family fishing trips to the lakes of Danbury, Wisconsin and loved Indy Car racing as well. Chris is survived by his mother Kathleen Cox (Mike Bolte) of Cincinnati, and his father, Darrell Cox (Rose Cox) of Cincinnati. He leaves behind a younger brother David Cox (Lindsey Erickson-Cox) of Cincinnati and five nephews, Jaxon, Kyren, Everett, Maverick, and Lucas. His loss is mourned by grandmothers Lillian Hopkins, of Hamilton, Ohio, and Janice Cox, of Warsaw, Indiana, as well as an aunt, Connie Cullen (Cam Cullen) of Windham, New Hampshire, uncles Greg Cox (Linda Cox) of Dallas, Texas and Jeff Hopkins (Becky Smith) of Takoma Park, Maryland, and cousins Hunter Cullen, Lena Cullen, Kristina Cox, Darrell James Cox, Edie Hopkins, and Wes Hopkins. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Willard Hopkins and Jerry Cox. The family will have a celebration of life on February 24, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Knights of Columbus Hall on 7700 Seward Ave in Mount Healthy, Ohio, with later family service and burial.
