Corrine ''Rinnie'' M. Kahn

Corrine ''Rinnie'' M. KAHN, Age 86, a resident of Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, died Monday, January 2, 2006, at 2:30 a.m. in Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton on October 18, 1919, the daughter of Mose and Elenora (Joos) Kahn. She was employed by Cincinnati Bell for 36 years, retiring in 1977. She began her career as a telephone operator and retired from the business office. She was a lifelong member of First St. John United Church of Christ where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Evening Guild and the Tuesday night church dinner group. She was a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority and the Pioneer Retirement Club of Cincinnati Bell. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family, gardening and her love of flowers. She is survived by two nieces, Diane Getz and Jo Ann Bittinger both of Hamilton; six great nieces and nephews, Doug (Kathleene) Getz of West Chester, Kevin (Suzanne) Getz of Fairfield Township, Kristin (Chad) Huffman of Ross, David (Angela) Getz of Hamilton, Julie (Michael) Weldy of Fairfield Township and Nicole Bittinger of Cincinnati; great, great nieces and nephews, Hayden Getz, Logan Getz, Mike Getz, Chris Getz, Victoria Getz, Drew Huffman, Brody Huffman, Zack Getz, Alex Getz, Kenna Getz, Courtney Owens and Jacob Weldy; a very devoted Godchild, Susan Ortolf-Saylor and many new and old friends from Schroder Manor, where she had resided for the past year and one half. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Caroline Geis, a devoted brother in law, Russell Geis and two nephews, Kenneth Getz and Martin "Butch" Bittinger. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Rev. Dr. Allen Minor officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Schroder Manor for the Activities Fund or the Benevolent Care Fund, 1302 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013. The family wishes to express special appreciation to the staff of Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, the Intensive Care Unit and the Fourth Floor Nurses at Fort Hamilton Hospital.
