James "Jim" Edward Streit

James “Jim” Edward Streit Age 66, of Hamilton, passed away on May 21st, 2018 in his home. Jim was born in Hamilton, OH on February 23, 1952 to William R and Rita Streit (Dean). He graduated from Lakota High School and Southern Ohio College and later in life trained at Miami University. His educational experiences included Business and Computer Science. He proudly served 6 years in the United States Navy in Communications. His multiple employment positions included work in engineering circuitry. His hobbies were fishing and gardening and he always looked forward to his trips to Destin, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents William R and Rita Streit (Dean), wife Trisha Streit (Barnes) and brother John Streit along with many other loved ones. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Krista and Tim Hodges (Streit), James “Andy” Andrew and Christy Streit (Cornett), and Thomas “Tom” and Samantha “Sam” Streit (LeMar); His grandchildren: Brandon, Nicolas, Jacob, Zechariah, Felicity, Fawn, Gabriel, Kylie, Piper, and Cadence; His siblings: Martha Ferris, Lawrence Streit, Richard Streit, Barbara Maus, Anita Blakley, William J. Streit and their spouses; And many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at Weigel Funeral Home 980 NW Washington Blvd. Hamilton, OH 45013 on Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 1:30 PM officiated by Pastor Keith Wells with the visitation immediately preceding the service, beginning at noon. He will be laid to rest following the service with Veterans Honors at Butler County Memorial Park.
