Joseph Hughes Gibson

Joseph Hughes Gibson, dedicated father, a cherished coach, mentor, and respected community member, passed away on August 25, 2025 at the age of 41. He was born August 22, 1984 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Thomas Gibson and Linda (Hughes) Gibson. Joe is survived by his former wife Lindsey Gibson; their two children Konrad Hughes Gibson age 9, Knox Joseph Gibson age 8; mother Linda Gibson; three sisters Nikki (Sonia) Gibson, Tricia Gibson, Christina Gibson; parents in law Nick and Gail Konrad; sister in law Kara (Chris) Ramsey; his dog Crosley and was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, Thomas Gibson and brother in law, Ron Witt. Joe will be remembered not only for his dedication to being the best father to his two boys, but for the countless lives he shaped with unwavering wisdom and encouragement through his work and through his time coaching young athletes, with his favorites players being his sons. Joe had a unique way of teaching life's most valuable lessons through the lens of the game. Whether it was showing the importance of teamwork, the value of discipline, or the perseverance to "finish strong." Joe's passions in life included his work as a social worker, where he dedicated over 18 years of his life to troubled children, helping guide them through their trials; making others feel loved, accepted and supported; maintaining lifelong friendships; steadfast love of family & his ultimate passion was being a father to his two sons...his biggest and best accomplishments in life - to whom he dedicated all of his energy. One of Joe's best qualities was making people laugh; he used humor as a tool for connection, healing, and joy. Joe harnessed the power of humor to lighten moods, diffuse tension, and forge a sense of shared humanity.
