Mary Louise Logsdon

Mary Louise Logsdon nee Colwell, age 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her five daughters on May 5, 2025. Her extraordinary story began on January 13, 1935 in Hamilton, Ohio. Mary is survived by her five daughters; Denice (Jim) McDade; Brenda (Al) Barnes; Amy (Jeff) Darner; Cindy (Todd) Carter and Emily (Troy) Chester and her eleven grandchildren Heather (Jim) Hunt; Jayme (Chris) Gibbs; Olivia (Nathan) Schmitmeyer; Dustin (Carol) Barnes; Kyle (Chelsey) Barnes; Samantha (fiancé Brandon Rich) Darner; Taylor (Wes) Shepherd; Natalie Darner; Tyler (Hannah) Carter; Alyssa Carter; and Delaney Chester; eleven great grandchildren; her two special sisters Maxine Logsdon and Geneva Staton; sister in law Donna Zimmerman and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Bud Logsdon, parents Herman and Dorothy Colwell, her mother-in-law Maudie Logsdon, father-in-law Elbert Logsdon and great grandson Cooper Shepherd. Mary was a 1953 graduate of Ross High School and married the love of her life on February 4th, 1956. She was employed by Roth U. Bertsch Company, Avon as a sales representative, and enjoyed preparing and serving food for John Anglin Auctions and Delbert Cox Auctions for many years, but her greatest accomplishment in life was as a mother to her daughters. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, she was a founding member of the Cornerstone Church. When she wasn't baking a pie or cake, shopping, or making trips to church, she was attending livestock shows to cheer on her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Mary was an avid Reds fan and enjoyed league bowling. She will be remembered for her steadfast faith, the grace, beauty and strength that carried her through a remarkable life. The family would like to thank Hospice of Middletown and Michelle Johnson for the excellent care they provided. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, 7600 Princeton Glendale Road, Liberty Township, OH, 45011 with funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Raker and Pastor Tim Goodman officiating.
