Shari Ann Wilson

Shari A. Wilson of Hamilton, Ohio, born Shari Ann Miller on May 23rd, 1943, passed from death to eternal life on June 5th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Georgia Miller, her loving husband William E. Wilson, and her stepson William J. Wilson. Shari graduated from Taft High School in 1961 and earned a two year business degree. Shari was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend, and astute businesswoman. She held eleven jobs in her life; she worked for the Butler County Welfare Department early on, then became Fiscal Coordinator for Senior Citizens, Inc. on Ross Avenue, then later became Executive Director of the same. She rallied support for the Butler County Levy for Council on Aging which passed in 1996, working alongside Ohio Representative John Boehner. She then moved on to serve as Program Director at Berkeley Square Retirement Community, under Jim Mayer and Jeff Thurman. Shari received several awards during her career—notably, while involved in American Business Women’s Association she was voted Woman of the Year in 1991. She was also a proud member of the order of the Eastern Star, where she performed the duties of Worthy Matron multiple times, and was nominated by her peers to be President of Ohio District 19 for a term. More recently, she was a founding member of the community group Living Forward, which is dedicated to encouraging widowed individuals to live life to the fullest. She was thrilled to make new friends while maintaining her lifelong friendships. Shari was also a faithful member of the church Harvest Christian Fellowship of Hamilton. She is survived by daughter Lisa Kathleen and son-in-law Danny Gordon of Brentwood, TN, sister Phyllis June Miller of Hamilton, OH, stepson Samuel T. Wilson of Tucson, AZ, stepdaughter Virginia Conrad of Bath, IN, grandson Mitchell A. Gordon of Brooklyn, NY, and several more step grandchildren. Shari’s memorial service will be held at Weigel Funeral Home at 980 NW Washington Blvd Hamilton on Saturday June 13th. Visitation will begin at 10 am, with an Eastern Star service commencing at 11:15 AM; the service officiated by Pastor Elby Harrison will follow directly, and procession to the mausoleum at Rose Hill Burial Park thereafter. There will also be a reception at Richard’s Pizza on Main St. Hamilton after the proceedings-- all who celebrate Shari are invited.
