Carl "Tiny" Sroufe

Carl "Tiny" Sroufe age 92, a life-long resident of Hamilton died Sunday, May 24, 2020. He was born on June 21, 1927, the youngest son of Otto and Florence (Rust) Sroufe. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII and was then employed as a machinist for 37 years at Fisher Body. He married Clare Teufel on November 17, 1951. After 50 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on February 22, 2012. He was a very active member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church serving as an usher and greeter. Carl enjoyed outdoor activities - hunting, fishing, camping and also participated in the Fisher Body golf and bowling leagues. He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Doug) Hill, Orange Park, Florida and Sandra (Kevin) Seigneur, Bethel, Ohio; five grandchildren, Megan (Matthew) Ballard, Eric (Brittany) Hill, Anthony (Megan) Seigneur and Eric Seigneur and Nicholas Seigneur and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son-in-law, Kevin Seigneur, six sisters - Esther Munz, Florence Harris, Verna Brendal, Loretta Duvall, Marie Hipp and Mildred Hayes and his brother, Bud Sroufe. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 10:00 am followed by services at 11:00 am, at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N.W. Washington Blvd. Entombment will be in St. Stephen Mausoleum.
