Carolyn Sue (Morrison) Clayton was born on February 20, 1941 in Dearborn County, IN to the late Lawrence and Lou Vada (Coffey) Morrison. Carolyn is survived by her sister Jackie and husband Gordin Smith of Liberty, IN, brother Lawrence “Wayne” and wife Carmen Morrison II of Oxford, OH, three sons and one daughter; Edward “Eddie” Clayton of Oxford, OH, Michael and wife Theresa Clayton of Fairfield Township, OH, Gerald “Scott” and wife Melanie Clayton of Oxford, OH and daughter Karla (Clayton) Seidl of Flower Mound, TX, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren of which were her greatest joy. Carolyn was an avid painter, gardener and always enjoyed a visit from her grand and great grandchildren. Carolyn retired from Miami University, Oxford where she worked in the physical facilities department. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members. Her charm and smile enlightened any given moment. Her wisdom will most certainly live on through her legacy, which was to love faithfully, work hard, and trust in those you love. Carolyn’s unmatched willingness to give will live in our hearts and memories forever. Carolyn departed from this life joining the angels of heaven on Sunday, March 6, 2022 being 81 years and 14 days of age. A private funeral service and burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville Indiana at a date TBD.
