Denzil Baker age 84, went to Heaven on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. He was born on October 25, 1936, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Coomer and Virginia (Ward) Baker. Denzil served in the United States Army as a company clerk attached to a mash unit. He is a member of North Fairfield Baptist Church, enjoyed traveling with Debby and family, bowling and time with family and friends. He worked in the steel service industry for many years and has had 22 years of retirement. He married Deborah Sackenheim on June 23, 1979. He is survived by his wife: Debby; sister: Geneva Shields; his children: Timothy (Samuelyn) Baker, Elizabeth (Travis) Rowe, Sally (Hobert) Hellard; grandchildren: Brandon (Jennifer) Walker, Timmy (Lydia) Baker, Tyler Walker, Sarah Walker, Delaney (DJ) Hellard, and great grandchildren; in-laws: Karla (Kurt) Kesner, Pamela Sackenheim, Marty (Julie) Sackenheim, many wonderful nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; best friend and lunch partner: Dick Kupper. Preceding him in death: his parents, brother: Talmadge (Tab) Baker; brother-in-law: James Shields; father and mother-in-law: Martin and Erma Sackenheim and sister-in-law: April McCoy. Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Weigel Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
