Marian C. Grove, age 84, Hamilton, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Westover Retirement Community. She was born in Hamilton on February 16, 1933, the daughter of Cecil and Nellie (Stedman) Brookes. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School. Marian was employed as a clerk and retired from the Hamilton City School District. She married Jack Hammel in Hamilton on April 10, 1954 and he preceded her in death on November 18, 1981. She married Arthur Grove in Hamilton on March 29, 1985 and preceded her in death on May 3, 2014. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Mary) Hammel, Chicago Illinois, and Ron (Michelle) Hammel, Hamilton; sister, Kathleen Gill; grandchildren, Stefan Hammel, Alica Hammel and Joe Hammel and great grandchildren, Jayla and Jack. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Brittany Hammel and siblings Margie, Fred, Edwin and Robert. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W Washington Blvd. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
