Aloma P. Bitel

Aloma P. Bitel age 89 passed away Sunday June 15, 2025. She was born September 18, 1935 in Hamilton to the late Joseph and Virgina (Hall) Scherzinger. Aloma Bitel was a mother, sister, and grandmother, and through her life was someone who took to heart those roles. For many years she traveled across the country with her sister, Rose, taking in all the beautiful sights that our beloved country had to offer. When she was home, she could be found in her yard gardening, spending time with friends at the community center and taking walks around her neighborhood to simply enjoy the little blessings of life. Aloma was known for her wonderful work as a seamstress. When she wasn’t tailoring clothes for friends and family, she could be found entering quilts and doll clothes in the Butler County Fair, and made baby quilts for newborns in hospitals without the want for recognition, simply doing it from the kindness in her heart. Her knack of creativity was also seen in her paintings, with new water color paintings appearing on her kitchen and dining room walls every month, bringing new life and colors into her home. Aloma Bitel was a wonderful woman, and will be deeply loved and missed by her family and friends. Aloma is survived by four children Pamela Wood, Richard (Anna) Bitel, Tina (Joseph) Winkler, Kevin (Karen) Bitel; seven grandchildren Kelly Wood, Travis Wood, Larion Bitel, Remmington Winkler, Jason Winkler Donald (Desiree) Bitel, Alan (Cassie) Bitel; five great grandchildren Steven Bitel, Noah Bitel, Stacy Bitel, Zacary Burton, Alison Bitel; two sisters Rose Shane, Virginia (Estal) McGhee; one brother Huston Johnson and was also survived by many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings Robert Scherzinger, Joseph Scherzinger, Jack Scherzinger, Anna Ondreyko, Marie Hoops. Visitation will be at Weigel Funeral Home 980 NW Washington Blvd Hamilton, Ohio 45013 Thursday June 19, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
