Mary J. Maynard

Mary J. Maynard was born on February 13, 1953 and peacefully finished her course on September 14, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell (Rusty) Maynard II who she married on August 28, 1971, her parents Paul and Helen Everhart, sister Pauline Mundy, brothers Geroge, Elmer, and Paul Jr. Everhart and longtime family’s honorary brother, Elder Paul O’Neil. Left behind to share her testimony of her Lord and Savior are her children Brian (Megan) Maynard, and J. Reene (Orville) Valandingham, grand children Samuel (Melissa) Valandingham, Nick (Ana) Miller and Makiha Miller and her great grandchildren; Noah, Nora, Colten, Isabella Valandingham, Nick Miller III and soon to be Penelope Miller. Siblings Sue Clerrco, Galen (Misty) Everhart, Nora Davis, Gary Everhart, Sam Everhart, Dan Everhart, Ellen (Skip) Conley and honorary sister Belinda (Jim) McBean, and special sister-in-law, Jane Everhart. There are also more nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and all members of the Family of God beyond numbers. Mary moved to Hamilton, Ohio in 1991 and worshipped God with the TriCity Church of God. She loved to sing and was often a soloist in the services. She had a gift of helps and enjoyed using that gift in the Kingdom of God at workdays, events, potlucks, creating costumes and props for church plays, and anything that needed to be done. She also worked in the Sunday and Bible School programs. One of her greatest joys was the opportunity to travel with the ministry to visit the Saints in Cuba. God was her entire life. She faithfully attended every church service and endured great heart ache when she couldn’t. In her later years, Mary would often be at the church on the wrong days just because of her excitement to worship and fellowship. Mary enjoyed serving God, spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, games, sharing the gospel with everyone she came into contact with and absolutely doting on her husband. Mary was a prayer warrior from the moment she arrived in Hamilton until her passing she prayed every day for every TriCity Saint and carried their burdens. TriCity, you were family to her. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd., Hamilton, Ohio 45013 with Pastor Jack Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at Noon.
